Real Madrid Reportedly Reach A Verbal Agreement To Sign Porto Defender Felipe Monteiro

Real Madrid have reached a verbal agreement to signPorto’s 27-year-old defenderFelipe Monteiro, according to AS.
The Portuguese club are in financial difficulty, and it is reported Madrid are keen to take advantage of the situation to sign the player they view as Pepe’s replacement.
It’s now up to Madrid to negotiate a fee for the 27-year-old, who has a release clause of €50 million (£43.4m).
AS claim that Porto would accept a bid in the region of €25m to €30m (£21.7m to £26m).
Felipe Monteiro has been extensively scouted by Madrid and Zinedine Zidane has approved the Porto defender’s arrival.
